The Festival
Produced by Detour Films with the help of our team, collaborators, and sponsors, the Peruvian Film Festival aims to create a vibrant and engaging cultural experience that celebrates Peruvian cinema while fostering community connections in Toronto.
Detour Films, founded by José Ridoutt Polar, an international film programmer, producer, distributor, and director of numerous “Making of” Peruvian films, as well as Ojos que sí ven: El cine de Lombardi, a documentary screened at more than 30 film festivals. Since 2004, as a member of the programming committee of the Lima Film Festival, he has focused on curating national cinematographies and programming a cycle of the best of international cinema. We look forward to sharing these powerful stories.
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Carlton Imagine Cinemas is just steps away from College Station (Line 1 subway), and within walking distance of Holiday Inn Express and other popular accommodations, making it easily accessible for both local and international attendees.
