The first edition of the Peruvian Film Festival (PFF) took place from July 24 to 27, 2025. Sixteen films were showcased at the Carlton Imagine Cinemas during the annual celebration of Peru’s Independence Day. Francisco Lombardi, Peru’s most internationally renowned director, presented and engaged in dialogue with the audience following the screenings of the newly restored versions of the classics: La boca del lobo (1988) & La ciudad y los perros (1985) as a tribute to the late Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa.
